Registration options in the SEEBURGER Customer Portal

There are basically two options for a registration in the SEEBURGER Customer Portal: You can either register by yourself (self-registration) or via invitation.

With the registration in the SEEBURGER Customer Portal you receive a user account. Due to the mandatory specification of the company name, a user account is always assigned to a company account.

Information: You can register for multiple company accounts with the same email address. However, this only becomes useful if you are a service provider or freelancer, for example.

A company account is created automatically when you register by yourself and enter a company name that is not yet registered in the SEEBURGER Customer Portal. This automatically makes you the administrator of the created company account and you are immediately activated. If you register independently and enter the company name of an existing company account, then your registration must first be confirmed by the administrator.

To register via invitation, you must be invited by the administrator or app manager of a company account. With the invitation, you will receive a registration link via email. After you register via the invitation, you are immediately activated.

Note: If your company uses a single sign-on method (SAML) for the authentication in the SEEBURGERCustomer Portal, then it is not possible for the employees of your company to register themselves in the SEEBURGERCustomer Portal. The administrator of your company has to invite these users to the SEEBURGERCustomer Portal.

Note: If there is currently no administrator in your company (e.g. due to a change of position), the SEEBURGER Cloud Support can activate a new administrator upon request at servicedesk@seeburger.de. For this, the SEEBURGER Cloud Support requires a written confirmation from the management that the user in question should receive administrator rights.

There are different cases with individual instructions depending on your desired registration option and your starting point.

    The following cases exist for the registration option "Self-registration":

  • Self-registration (default): You are not yet registered in the SEEBURGER Customer Portal. You do not have an open invitation. You would like to register by yourself.

  • Self-registration (independent of existing invitation): You are not yet registered in the SEEBURGER Customer Portal. You have an open invitation. However, you would like to register by yourself, meaning independent of the existing invitation.

  • Self-registration (another company): You are already registered in the SEEBURGER Customer Portal. It is irrelevant whether you have an invitation open or not. You want to register for another company by yourself, meaning regardless of whether you have an invitation open or not.
