VANs are private network providers which act as a virtual mailbox. This mailbox is used by trading partners to exchange messages. By using a VAN provider, customers only have one connection to this VAN provider and do not need to manage and maintain every individual connection to their partners.

With the Communication Service, SEEBURGER provides a gateway which is already connected to the most important VAN providers. To exchange messages with a VAN provider via the Communication Service, only structured files such as EDIFACT or ANSI X.12 can be used.
