Information: Your individual mapping repository is not connected to your BIS system. It is connected to the BIS Mapping Designer. That means, the versioning of your mappings is not done in the BIS system but in the repository/Deployment Manager app in your BIS Portal. |
To connect your mapping repository to the BIS Mapping Designer, follow these steps:
Open your project in the BIS Mapping Designer.
Right-click on the project.
Select Team > Share Project.
Select a repository type.
Click Next.
Select your repository.
Click Finish.
Information: If you did not work with the BIS Mapping Designer before, we strongly recommend to take at least one of our training courses: BIS Mapping Designer Basics, BIS Mapping Designer Advanced and SEEXML. |
The next steps to be done are:
Saving and versioning your mappings in the repository.
Exporting your build to your hard drive.
Uploading the mappings to the Deployment Manager on your staging environment.
Testing the mappings on the staging environment.
Uploading the mappings to the Deployment Manager on the production environment.
Deploying the mappings on the production environment.
Note: The mappings are packed in ZIP files. |
Information: You can find the user manual for the Deployment Manager in the Service Desk. |
