Organizational user management

Users are managed within an organization or organizational unit, facilitating the administration of specific permissions, roles, and access to resources based on organizational structures.

In the User Management Service (UMS), your company is represented by an organization, with all your users being associated in this common organization. Within your organization, you can independently manage user accounts and access rights, including roles and permissions for various applications like the app Message Tracking.

While the term “organization” refers to your entire company, “organizational units” refer to a smaller, more specific division or subgroup within it.

Each organization can contain several organizational units. For instance, should only a limited group of users have access to an app or only see a subset of data, it then makes sense to use organizational units. Organizational units are used in the same way as the organization: Users can be assigned, codes defined, and groups added there.
