Inviting new users in UMS

Inviting new users in UMS
  1. Log in to the BIS Portal.

  2. Open the User Management Service (UMS).

  3. Open the menu item Users > Accounts.

  4. Click New > Without Template.

  5. In the tab Access Data, enter the Email Address of the user you want to invite.

  6. In the field Organization, select the organization the user should be added to.

    • Click Apply.
  7. In the field User Name, enter the name for the invited user.

    Note: This name will be used as login name for this user.
  8. In the field On Save, select:

    • Send Invitation to send a registration link for the user via email.
    • Activate to activate the user directly and get an initial password.
  9. Click Save.

If you selected Activate, an initial password for the user will be displayed.The user name and initial password need to be communicated to the user. The user can then log in to the BIS Portal with this password. With the first log-in, the user needs to change this password.
