Making an MTP change request

Making an MTP change request

To transfer configurations, settings or changes from the staging to production environment, you need to make a change request in MTP.

  1. Log in to the BIS Front End on the staging environment.

  2. In the tab Configuration, open the node Change requests.

  3. Click Outgoing > All.

  4. Click to create a new change request.

  5. Enter a Name for the change request.

  6. Select the Target system.

Information: The target system is your production environment. It is set up by SEEBURGER and is connected with the staging environment via HTTP connection.
  7. Check if the Target system LS (logical system) is 000 or enter the required logical system.

  8. Select a Mode.

Note: Normal means, the changes need to be approved on the production environment. By selecting this mode you can for example prepare a change and deploy it at a specified time. Autoapply means, the changes will be applied instantly.
  9. Enter or select a Category and Topic to have a better overview of what kind of change it is, e.g. Adapters and AS2.

Information: These fields have no functional impact so they are optional for your convenience.
  10. Click OK.

In the overview of all change requests, this change request has the status Implementing. Now, all configurations for this change request can be added.
