Outgoing Transports

Outgoing Transports

An outgoing transport is a list of multiple different records used for sending to other systems. When the transport is created from a collection, all records are copied, and the user can adjust the transport records without changing the origin records. The actions Add, Update, and Delete for applying on the target system are supported for the transport entries. Transports can contain entries with different actions.

After preparing the transport, the user has the option to download it as a Transport or as a Deployment Zip to apply it to another system. With the Send button, the selected transport can be sent directly to another system. In the resulting dialog, the user must select a transport target system from the drop-down menu or create a new target system using the Create new target system button.

Transports can be sent in two different modes of Processing type - manual and autoapply. This setting can be changed in the Edit dialog of the outgoing transport. It controls how the receiving system handles reviews.

There is a reorganization job TRANSPORTS_REORG that removes old transports. By default, all transports older than 30 days of all categories and directions of the transport modes (manual, autoapply, and autodeploy) are removed.
