How can I assign a system ID?

Requesting a new license

To assign a system ID while requesting a new license, follow these steps:

  1. Open the app BIS License Manager.

  2. In the tab Active, click Request License > New.

  3. Enter a System ID.

    Information: The system ID is not predefined, you can choose it yourself. Please note that the system ID must be unique, i.e. only one system ID may be assigned for each system. Two systems may not have the same system ID. Even if you use a test system and a production system, these systems each need their own system ID. The system ID is also required when installing BIS 6.7.
  4. Fill in all mandatory fields in the step General Information of the registration wizard.

  5. In the step Article Details, select the articles for your system.

  6. Click Finish.

The system ID is saved with the license request.

Requesting a license from an existing license request

To assign a system ID while requesting a license that is based on a reference license, i.e.an existing license request, follow these steps:

  1. Open the app BIS License Manager.

  2. In the tab Active, click Request License > From existing license request.

  3. Select the Reference License to be used as a template.

  4. Click Next.

  5. Check the System ID.

    Note: Please make sure that you enter a new system ID for a new system. The system ID is not predefined, you can choose it yourself. The system ID must be unique, i.e. only one system ID may be assigned for each system.
  6. Check all other fields in the section System Details or adjust the entries as needed.

  7. Click Next.

  8. Check the entries in the form and adjust them if necessary.

  9. Click Finish.

The system ID is saved with the license request.
