Sending and receiving messages via the Peppol network

Different prerequisites and requirements apply for sending and receiving messages via the Peppol network, which are described below:

Sending messages

To send messages via the Peppol network, the following is required:

  • A Peppol ID as the sender identification. It is not necessary to request or register this ID at Peppol. You can create the ID yourself in the app PEPPOL in the SEEBURGER Customer Portal.

    > The Peppol ID

    > Creating new Peppol IDs

  • A certified Peppol access point which SEEBURGER provides. You need to establish a connection between your system and the SEEBURGER Cloud.

    > Setup of your Peppol Access Point

  • A Peppol message sent as an envelope in the SBDH format (Standard Business Document Header). This envelope contains the sender and recipient Peppol ID as well as the document ID, and the process ID of the embedded file.

Receiving messages

To receive messages, your Peppol ID and your supported document profiles and processes need to be registered at Peppol. After activating the reception of messages and adding document profiles in the app PEPPOL, your information is automatically registered, no further action from your side is required.
