Integration of Message Tracking

Integration of Message Tracking

Message Tracking is an app in your BIS Portal for monitoring the processing of messages within the iPaaS workflow. You can use Message Tracking to check the status of processing, and also to identify issues like conversion errors (e.g. invalid EDIFACT format) and communication errors with your trading partners or your backend systems.

Using the B2B Packaged Solution

When you are using the B2B Packaged Solution for your processes, the Message Tracking app will be pre-configured in the BIS Portal and ready to use. It will already be synchronized with your BIS system.

The B2B Packaged Solution contains standardized mappings for Message Tracking. When you configure the processing rules for your BIS system in the Entities Explorer, all information needed, like document type, sender, recipient etc., is transmitted automatically to Message Tracking.

Note: All you need to do to see the monitoring of your messages, is log in to the BIS Portal and open the app Message Tracking.

Using the MFT Solution

The MFT Solution contains only a basic mapping for Message Tracking. An entry in the Message Tracking table is created but it may not display all information needed. The processes underlying the use of the MFT Solution are specific for every customer, so that they cannot be standardized easily. Therefore, a mapping needs to be implemented which transmits the missing information into the Message Tracking monitoring tables.

Note: You can either write and implement the mapping yourself, or you can request the mapping from SEEBURGER as a change request.
